4 DAY WEEKEND ITINERARY
day 1:
opening fire ceremony
This is our first night together, after filling up on delicious hors d’Oeuvres, we will gather round the fire, do proper introductions and sharing a little bit of our story so that our group feels that much more connected and understood. This is where we set our intentions and expectations for the weekend ahead.
day 2:
book swap
Each retreat guest will bring 1-3 books for this activity. Not just any book, books that were transformational, books you could not stop talking about, books that you need more people to read! Any genre, any author!! You will be giving a mini book report (not giving away any spoilers) of your thoughts, feelings, feedback, and takeaways. Once the whole group has presented their books, we will do the swap at the end. You will have all of your contact information in that book so that the person who receives it will return it back to you by the end of the year. Book swaps are a social and sustainable way for people to get new books for free and discover new authors!
Where Should We begin?
Created by therapist, podcast host, and author Esther Perel. This game of stories is designed to unlock the storyteller within. Stories are the bridges that connect us to other humans. Just as an amazing connection is about sharing, listening, risk, laughter, and discovery, so too is a great game. We will create a safe space to allow us to pull a card, open up, and inspire the stories we rarely tell. This is where the magic happens!
yoga & sound bath
Starting off with a gentle yoga flow to get the body moving. The goal is to release physical tension, preparing the body and mind for a deeper meditative state. We have timed the movement part to end right at sunset to transition into the sound bath portion. We will give the oppportunity to add any additional layers of clothing for warmth as our bodies begin to tap into our parasympathetic nervous system. During the sound bath portion, you lie comfortably on a mat with your eyes closed. The practitioner creates a soundscape using crystal singing bowls. The vibrations and frequencies from these instruments are meant to help your brain waves slow down, shifting from an active state to a more relaxed, meditative one.
day 3:
matwork pilates
Pilates is a system of exercise that works from your Power House (inner thighs, glutes, and core). Whether you’re a seasoned pilates person or an absolute newbie, this session will meet you exactly where you’re at! You will stretch whats tight, strengthen whats weak, bring stability to your joints, and stamina to the rest of your workouts! Pilates is beneficial for your posture, core strength, range of motion, active recovery and endurance.
90 minute massage
Enjoy a custom massage that will leave you with less muscle tension, improved blood flow, and reduce inflammation. Massage therapy promotes relaxation by releasing endorphins, natural painkillers that also have mood-boosting effects. Massage can help to stimulate collagen production and improve skin elasticity.
Silent Disco &
Ecstatic dance
Ecstatic dance is a free-form, intentional movement practice that uses music to facilitate a journey of self-expression, healing, and connection. It has a set of core guidelines to foster a conscious and judgment-free environment. Our structure includes an opening ceremony, a 1-2 hour dance set with headphones to really encapsulate the sound, and a closing ceremony.
day 4:
burning ceremony
This will be our final retreat activity to close us out and reflect on our weekend. A burning ceremony is a spiritual ritual with roots in various traditions, such as the Peruvian and Vedic traditions, that uses fire to symbolize transformation, purification, and release. During the ceremony, participants often make offerings into the fire while setting intentions, praying, or meditating, with the goal of releasing fears, worries, or old patterns and inviting new energy, blessings, or wisdom. The fire is seen as a tool for shifting energy and facilitating change, turning physical written intentions into spiritual vibrations.
